Product Dimensions: 14" x 14.5" x 4"

Description: First seen
in West Virginia during the Fall of 1966, Mothman quickly made
it’s way into the annals of American myth. At an estimated 7 feet
tall, with large wings, and eyes that burn red like embers of
a blazing fire, the Mothman is a fearful image to behold. The
explanations for this massive creature range from aliens to native
American curses to inter-dimensional beings. Whatever it’s origin;
it seems that catastrophe follows the Mothman throughout the world.
Sightings dwindled after the deadly bridge collapse in Point Pleasant,
WV for which many named Mothman as an evil omen. Later, as further
proof, a creature resembling Mothman was spotted in the Ukraine
shortly before the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. |

Description: The practice of sticking pins in dolls, or
poppets, actually has its history in European folk magic, not
the Haitian religion of Vodou. Over time the practice evolved
and became a method of cursing individuals with pain and suffering.
Today the Voodoo doll has its roots in New Orleans Voodoo, which
is a form of "hoodoo" or Southern folk magic. This evolution
is believed to have stemmed from the slaves who used the poppets
to keep their superstitious owners at bay. In traditional Vodou,
the poppet, or pwen, is nailed along with an old shoe to trees
near graveyards to act as a messenger between this world and the
next. This is not done for ill effect as it is often portrated
in movies. |

Description: The mystery of the Chupacabra (translated as “goat-sucker”) began
in 1947 on the colorful isle of Puerto Rico. Beginning with the
vicious deaths and draining of blood of various animals, including
goats, the infamous Chupacabra mythos spread quickly throughout
Latin America. Sightings stretch as far south as Chile, and as
far North as Maine. While scientists often have alternate theories
regarding the killings, no solid facts disproving the Chupcabra’s
existence have been found.
